A proposal
Proposal on a yacht in Alanya, with nobody else watching
A proposal on a private yacht in Alanya works because the deck holds only your party: no strangers, no audience you did not invite. You choose the moment yourself, at a swim stop or below the castle walls, and tell our team in advance so the crew knows. The whole yacht starts from €580 for 6 hours.
Why privacy matters more than the view
When you plan a proposal, the scenery is rarely the real worry; the question is who might be standing nearby. On a shared boat you share the moment with whoever bought a ticket that day. On your own yacht the only witnesses are the crew and anyone you chose to bring.
That also takes the pressure off timing. You are not waiting for a crowd to drift away from the rail; you have 6 hours and the space to pick a quiet minute when it feels right.
Choosing your moment on the water
Your day passes beneath the castle on its rock, goes by the Red Tower and follows the caves in the cliffs, and the captain picks quiet bays for swimming along the way. Each part gives you a different kind of moment.
You might ask while the yacht is lying still at a swim stop, when everyone is relaxed and the engine is quiet, or with the castle walls rising behind you. Lovers' Cave is one of the caves the yacht slows beside, and the name is tempting, but do not build the plan around it: a stop there is never promised, and the captain adapts the route to the sea and the weather.
- At a swim stop: calm, unhurried, easy to stay out of sight while you get ready
- Below the castle headland: the medieval walls behind you as a backdrop
- Later in the day: after a swim, when nerves have settled
- Keep one fallback in mind in case the sea changes the route
Briefing the crew without giving it away
Tell us in advance. Write it in the booking form's Requests field or send us a WhatsApp message, and say clearly who must not see our replies. If your partner reads your email, ask us to write only to your phone.
Our guide to keeping the day a surprise covers cover stories, shared inboxes and the hotel pickup, the point where a secret is easiest to give away.
The ring, and what is your own arrangement
The ring is yours to bring and to look after. Keep it in a zipped bag pocket rather than your swimwear, and decide beforehand who holds it while you swim.
Flowers, a photographer or any special setup are not part of the standard day. Ask us in your request what is possible, and do not assume anything can come on board until we have said yes.
If you want the moment on camera, someone has to hold the phone. Our page on photos on board explains how to arrange that without a hired photographer.
After the question: the rest of the day
A yes does not end the trip. You still have swim stops, the snorkelling masks and the coast to enjoy, now as a newly engaged couple, and those unhurried hours afterwards are a large part of the reason to ask on a private yacht.
If you would like to eat or toast on board, that has to be arranged in advance; food and drinks are not included otherwise. Read food and drinks on the yacht before you send your request, then check your date on the yacht page.

More questions
Is it better to propose early in the trip or later on?
Later tends to be easier. By then you know how the sea feels, you have seen the route, and you are not proposing straight after the transfer. Keep the first part of the day for settling in.
What if the sea is rough on the day I planned to propose?
The captain judges the conditions on the day and may change the route, so keep a second moment in mind. If the date itself worries you, ask us; free cancellation runs until 48 hours before the start.
Can our families be on board for the proposal?
Yes, the yacht takes up to 12 guests, so parents or close friends can share it. Tell us who is coming and which of them know, so nobody gives the plan away in a message.
