A family day
A family yacht day in Alanya, from grandparents to the youngest
A family yacht day in Alanya puts everyone on one yacht with no other passengers: up to 12 guests, children included, for 6 hours on the water below the castle, with time to swim. Non-swimmers can stay on deck, and the price is for the whole yacht, from €580, not per person.
Why families take the yacht rather than a shared boat
Family holidays often split up: the teenagers want one thing, the grandparents another. A private yacht keeps everyone in the same place for the day without forcing them all to do the same thing.
Some will swim at every stop, some will snorkel with the masks on board, and some will sit on deck with a book. With no other group aboard, nobody has to keep the children quiet for strangers.
It is also easier on parents. With the whole yacht to yourselves, you can keep an eye on small children without a crowd around them, and a tired toddler can nap on deck without anyone minding.
Counting the family correctly
Children count as guests on board, whatever their age, and the yacht takes up to 12. Give us the ages of the children when you book and we will confirm the group.
Large families sometimes find the limit tighter than expected once partners and babies are added. Our guest list guide walks through the count before you send the request.
Grandparents and guests who will not swim
Nobody has to go in the water. Non-swimmers can stay on deck while the others swim, and the freshwater shower means swimmers can rinse off before sitting back down beside them.
If someone in the family has particular needs for getting on and off, mention it in the request so the team knows before the day. We would rather hear about it early than improvise at the harbour.
For grandparents, the transfer matters as much as the yacht. Being collected from the hotel and brought back means no buses, no taxis to negotiate and no long walk to the harbour with bags.
Food for a family day
Food, drinks and snacks come only if they are arranged ahead of the day. With children aboard for 6 hours that is the first thing to settle.
Ask us when you book what can be arranged, and mention allergies or a fussy eater at the same time. The options and the questions to ask are on our page about food and drinks on board.
A family packing list
A little preparation keeps the day easy for parents. The basics are the same for every guest; families usually add a few things of their own.
- Sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, swimwear and a towel for each person
- A change of dry clothes for small children
- Something to keep children busy on deck between swims
- Any medicines a family member relies on
- A bag that closes, so small things do not roll away on deck
Booking for the whole family
Send one request for everyone, with the number of adults and the ages of the children. We reply to confirm the booking and tell you the pickup time from your hotel in central Alanya; if you are staying further out, ask before you book.
With children in the group, a late change of plan is harder to absorb, so read how booking and weather work and then choose a date on the yacht page.

More questions
Can a baby come on the yacht?
Children of any age count as guests on board. Put the baby's age in the request and we will confirm the group with you.
What can the children do between swims?
Watch the coast, look at the caves as the yacht slows beside them, and snorkel with the masks on board if they are confident in the water. Bringing something small of their own to do helps on a long day.
Do we all need to arrive together at the harbour?
The round-trip transfer picks you up at your hotel in central Alanya and brings you back. If the family is spread across several hotels, tell us in the request and ask how the pickup can work.
